2021 Turismo Veloce variants unveiled

Though practically synonymous with loud, aggressively designed street machines like the Brutale or Superveloce, MV Agusta also has a sport touring model set to take on the likes of the Ducati Multistrada 950 and BMW F900 XR. That model is the 2021 Turismo Veloce.

Designed with two-up seating and the capability to carry luggage, the Tourismo Veloce offers comfort and space without compromising on agility and performance.

Among the improvements are full LED lighting on all 2021 models. MV Agusta has also enlarged the windscreen, now higher and wider than the past model and also height adjustable with a scratch-proof treatment.

Powering it is a 798cc in-line three-cylinder engine with a counter-rotating crankshaft. It’s Euro-5 compliant and produces 110 PS at 10,150 rpm and 80 Nm at 7,100 rpm. It’s paired with a 6-speed transmission with up and down shift assist as standard. This allows it to reach a top speed of 230 km/h.

The Turismo Veloce was built on a chassis designed to be light but rigid. It rides on Sachs updisde down semi-active forks. The rear has a Sachs semi-active single shock with preload adjustment. It secures the rear wheel with a single sided swingarm.

Bringing it to a stop are twin Brembo brakes in front and a single Brembo brake in the rear. They’re fitted with ABS, corner braking, traction control, and chassis stability management. In addition, the seat has been made 20 mm lower, putting its seat height at 830 mm.

Reigning all the power in an enviable suite of electronics. The rider gets a 5.5-inch TFT panel that puts it all on display. From here, the rider can see all the functions like the current ridemode, that status of the rider aids, and the usual trip details. In addition, the system links to smartphones via and app and can also display turn by turn directions. This may seem daunting, but MV Agusta has added a new joystick on the left handlebar to make the many menus and settings easy to peruse through.

As expected, the Turismo Veloce comes in several variants.

The top of the line is the RC (Reparto Corse) SCS which includes the Smart Clutch System for quicker and smoother gear changes. Next up is the Lusso SCS, Lusso standard, and of course, the Rosso.
