BMW M 1000 RR, R and XR get Nürburgring special editions
BMW Motorrad is marking the Nürburgring’s 100th anniversary in 2027 with special editions of its M 1000 RR, M 1000 R, and M 1000 XR motorcycles.
The three models form part of BMW M and BMW Motorrad’s “100 Jahre Nürburgring” anniversary lineup, which also includes six BMW M cars. Each motorcycle will be limited to 100 units worldwide.
All three get a Nürburgring Green paint finish, anniversary graphics, carbon wheels with green accent stripes, a black rear swingarm and rear frame, and an Alcantara-look seat with “100” embroidery.
The fuel tank carries Nürburgring Nordschleife graphics, while the airbox cover gets the anniversary design and an individual “one of 100” marking. Each motorcycle also comes with an M Track Package, an exclusive motorcycle mat, and a rear paddock stand. The M 1000 RR and M 1000 R additionally receive an M Cover Kit.
The M 1000 RR serves as the supersport model of the group, with BMW Motorrad describing it as a motorcycle focused heavily on racetrack performance, aerodynamics, and lightweight construction.
The M 1000 R takes the same M performance approach in a naked-bike package. BMW describes the hyper-naked motorcycle as bringing Superbike-level performance to both road and circuit riding.
Meanwhile, the M 1000 XR combines high-speed performance with a more versatile crossover format. It retains the performance focus of the M range while adding long-distance ergonomics to the package.
The special editions also carry a direct connection to the Nürburgring, where BMW Motorrad’s relationship with the circuit dates back to 1927. BMW says the 20.8-kilometer Nordschleife is used as a development track for testing areas such as chassis, powertrain, aerodynamics, brakes, and thermal management.
BMW Motorrad has yet to announce ordering and availability details for the three motorcycles.
