New Suzuki video hints of new naked bike

Unlike other big Japanese motorcycle manufacturers, Suzuki Motorcycles doesn't update their motorcycle models as often and as radically. Over the past couple of years, only a few big name models like the Katana, the V-Strom (with a Katana-inspired look and updated Euro5-compliant engine), the Hayabusa (with displacement nearing 1500 cc) and the new Gixxer 250s have showcased Suzuki's efforts.

Now, with this new video from Suzuki’s official Youtube channel, the next motorcycle in line to be updated is the GSX-S1000.

Besides the minor updates it received in 2017, the GSX-S1000 largely remained unchanged since its introduction six years ago. Though details of the engine are still not available as of this writing, we can safely assume that the Hamamatsu-based plant made some changes to keep or increase the power output but still remain emissions-compliant.

Also, the silhouette suggests that the updated flagship naked from Suzuki will get a new and rather futuristic headlight design, and some minor fairing updates.

The final reveal will happen on April 26, 2021.
