Iconic 80's motorcycle returns

Suzuki Philippines just confirmed here at the 13^th Inside Racing Bike Fest and Trade Show the return of the iconic 80's motorcycle that arguably set the bike design trend of that era, the Katana. The Katana was first teased at the Intermot 2018 motorcycle show.

When it was launched in 1981, the Katana was among the fastest production motorcycles in the whole world. Fast forward to 2019, the new Suzuki Katana is based on the GSX-S1000 with a claimed power output of 152 PS and 108 Nm of torque. The Katana's weight comes in at 215 kg built over the GSX-S's chassis, made of a twin-spar beam alloy frame, inverted forks, GSX-R swingarm, and Brembo front calipers. The new Katana's styling pays homage to the original 1981 design.
