The Land Transportation Office (LTO), particularly, the LTO NCR West, has announced that they will be shutting down operations until further notice due to the recent spike of COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila.

According to the advisory, the following LTO West NCR offices will be closed until further notice: LTO NCR West Regional Office (Araneta Ave.), Manila Licensing Center, Manila North and South District Offices; Manila East and West District Offices; Pasay District and Licensing Office, Public Utility Vehicle Registration Extension Office, South Motor Vehicle Inspection Center, Muntinlupa District Office, Las Piñas District and Licensing Extension Offices; Makati District Office, Parañaque District Office, Malabon District Office, Navotas Extension Office, Calookan District and Licensing Extension Office.
Additionally, all of the following Driver’s License Renewal Offices (DLRO) will also be closed until further notice: Ayala - The Link, Guadalupe, Robinsons Manila, Lucky Chinatown, Robinsons Las Piñas, SM Manila, Araneta Square Mall, Metro Point Pasay, Alabang Town Center, Paseo Center Makati, Vehicle Renewal Extension Facility, LTO ON WHEELS and the Pasay MVRRS (Drive-Thru).
Expiration extended
Due to this recent development, the LTO extends the validity of vehicle registrations due for January (plate ending in "1") up to February 28, 2022, while the validity of Student Permits, Driver's Licenses, and Conductor's Permits are extended up to March 31, 2022.
