Honda Philippines Inc., the number one motorcycle manufacturer in the country, has finally unveiled its highly anticipated new model. As we’ve predicted last week, it is the all-new Supra GTR 150.

Honda calls this new model the “Speed Aggressor” and envisions it to appeal to riders who imbibe a “work hard, play hard” attitude.

The Supra GTR 150 is powered by a new, liquid-cooled DOHC engine with 4 valves, producing 16.3 Ps (16 Hp) of power at 9,000 rpm and 14.2 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. This makes it Honda's most powerful underbone motorcycle to date. It is mated to a 6-speed transmission. Honda claims it can reach a top speed of 110 km/h.

Among the highlights of the Supra GTR 150 are the all-LED headlights, fully digital instrument panel, disc brakes in the front (256 mm) and the rear (220 mm), alloy wheels, and a sporty exhaust pipe.

The bike is built around a twin tube steel frame boasting of a very accessible seat height of 780 mm and a wet weight of just 119 kg. Unlike the RS 150R, this new, sportier model boasts of full telescopic forks with a 31 mm diameter.

Honda also says it can achieve fuel efficiency of as high as 42 km/liter, and with its 4.5-liter fuel tank, can have a range of as far as 189-km.

Helping to unveil the new model were Honda Asia-Dream Racing with SHOWA team manager, Makoto Tamada and Troy Alberto. Tamada is one of the few riders to win races in both MotoGP and Superbike World Championship. Alberto, in the mean time of the most recent graduate of the Honda Pilipinas Dream Cup, Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup (ATC), and podium finisher in the Honda Thailand Talent Cup.

Despite the arrival of the new Supra GTR 150, Honda will continue to offer the RS 150R. It will now be position below the new model, while the Supra will serve is Honda’s new flagship sport underbone.

The all-new Supra GTR 150 will be offered in Valiant Red and Black. It will be at all Honda dealerships starting December 2019 at a suggested retail price of PhP 102,900. Customers can begin reserving their unit now.
