MMDA to close some EDSA's U-turn slots on Sept 28

EDSA boss, Col. Edison “Bong” Nebrija said the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will soon close some of the remaining U-turn slots along the highway to give way to the rapid bus transit system.

Nebrija shares that the MMDA will start closing the U-turn slot on MRT North Avenue by Monday, September 28, 2020.

“We’ll start with the MRT North Avenue slot on Monday. All the rest, we’ll have to see when we’ll have to close them since they [U-turn slots] will only be affected once we close the busway with barricades,” told the EDSA boss in Filipino.

Besides the MRT North Avenue U-turn slot, the MMDA will also close the U-turn slots between Balintawak in Quezon City and Monumento in Caloocan.

For those who need to do a U-turn between Balintawak and Quezon Avenue, the MMDA advises that they take Balintawak Cloverleaf or the U-turn slot beneath the EDSA-Quezon Avenue flyover.

Those who use the EDSA-Santolan and Roxas BLVD U-turn slots may instead take Boni Serrano, EDSA-Ayala intersection, Magallanes, and MOA Circle.
