Take alternate routes until Feb 1, 2020

If you frequent the Aurora Boulevard area in the early hours of the morning, you may have to find an alternate route until February 1, 2020.

Starting January 25 until February 1, 2020, a private contractor of the Department of Transportation (DOTr) will begin transferring escalator units from a truck to the LRT-2 Cubao Station using a mobile crane.

To giveway for this operation, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) recently announced that a portion of the boulevard will be closed to vehicles soon. That section is the stretch between the streets of Oxford and Imperial. A total of 11 escalator units are set to be transferred. In order to lessen inconvenience to motorists, the contractors will only work from 12:01 AM until 5:00 AM.

Private and public utility vehicles bound for Manila are advised to turn right to Yale Street or Oxford Street, turn right to Columbia Street, turn left to Imperial Street or West Point Street, and then back to Aurora Boulevard.
