As the economy is slowly but surely reopening, outdoor tourist activities too, are slowly and gradually being allowed by some localities. Baguio City – the Summer Capital of the Philippines – has also updated its tourist entry protocols to allow fully-vaccinated individuals to enter the city without being subjected to the mandatory swab test.
That means, if you are fully-vaccinated against the coronavirus, your vaccination card should be sufficient to allow entry into the nation’s summer capital. Baguio City also said that they are open to all tourists of all ages, but only for those who live in areas under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) and Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ).
A fully-vaccinated individual is defined by Baguio City as someone fully vaccinated from COVID-19 after a period at least two (2) weeks from having received the second dose of a 2-dose series, or after a period at least two (2) weeks from having received a single dose type of vaccine, and the vaccine administered must have been the recipient of an Emergency Use Authorization or Compassionate Special Permit from the Philippine Food and Drug Authority or included in the Emergency Use Listing of the World Health Organization.
Additionally, tourists are still required to log in at the city’s registration portal www.visita.baguio.gov.ph/.
