BMW Motorrad PH shows off CE 04 electric scooter

Back in July last year, BMW Motorrad officially launched the CE 04 – their first-ever production e-scooter. This was also a clear indicator that the German brand is serious when they announced that half of their products are going to be electric-powered by 2030.

Additionally, staying true to BMW CEO, Oliver Zipse’s word that the CE 04 will be in showrooms by 2022, BMW Motorrad PH presented the first arrivals of the e-scooter, with a starting SRP of PHP 1,055,000.

130-kilometer range

The CE 04 is powered by a liquid-cooled electric motor which BMW claims can churn out up to 44 PS of power, while an 8.6 kWh battery cell provides the juice. This gives the CE 04 a range of 130 kilometers on one full charge.

Bringing in BMW’s newfound expertise from the production of their electric car lineup, the CE 04 boasts a reduced charging time of only 1 hour and 40 minutes on quick charging, while regular charging would only take just a little over 4 hours.

The CE 04 also features riding aids that are commonly found on current BMW Motorrad motorcycles, like active stability control, dual-channel ABS, optional Dynamic Traction Control (DT), riding modes, and all-LED lighting with adaptive headlight pro.

10.25-inch TFT

The CE 04 also boasts a large 10.25-inch TFT screen which can be paired with the rider’s smartphone. It also comes with phone charging ports.

What’s more, BMW Motorrad created parka riding gear, especially for the CE 04. This riding gear can be connected to the scooter and can make the rider more visible on the road, thanks to its specially-designed LED lighting that is integrated with the suit.

Availability

With the first few units of the CE 04 now on display at RSA BMW Motorrad Greenhills showroom, Pinoy customers can start ordering their first BMW e-scooter, with a starting SRP of PHP 1.055 million. The SRP is not final and may be subject to change without notice.
