KTM is set to unveil its sharpest, most potent middleweight bike yet, the new 890 Duke R. Nicknamed the “Super Scalpel,” it will be revealed tonight, at 11 PM Manila time (5 PM Central European Time) on their official YouTube channel.
KTM boasts that the new 890 Duke R is “the sportiest bike in the midweight segment and will give bigger bikes a run for their money.” The new 890 Duke R is powered by a parallel-twin, 890cc engine (possibly shared with the upcoming Husqvarna Norden 901) with an output of 123 Ps of power (121 Hp) and 99 Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch.
Bringing that much power to a stop are twin 4-piston Brembo Stylema calipers on twin 320mm discs for the front, and a Brembo single-piston floating caliper on a 240mm disc for the rear.
The new 890 Duke R is also equipped with top-notch adjustable WP Apex suspension for the front and rear, Bosch cornering ABS, traction control (lean angle sensitive, 3-Mode disengageable + optional Track mode), and ride modes that include a Supermoto mode.
