Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R starts at PhP410,000

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R is now in the Philippines. The new model was launched online by no less than Kawasaki Philippines President and Chairman of the board, Hisahi Nishizawa.

We’ve talked about the Ninja ZX-25R extensively in the past. It’s powered by a brand-new, inline 4-cylinder engine producing as much as 51 PS (with ram air) at 15,500 rpm and 22.9 Nm of torque at 14,500 rpm. The engine was designed to deliver lots of power at the low to mid range.

It’s paired with a 6-speed transmission that comes with an assist and slipper clutch as well as a Kawasaki Quickshifter for smoother and faster changing of gears.

Keeping it aloft are 37 mm Show SFF Big Piston USD adjustable forks and a horizontal backlink rear shock with adjustable preload. It gets a 310mm brake disc with a four-piston caliper in front and a 220mm disc with a single-piston caliper at the back. It comes with ABS and Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC).

The rider gets a combination analog tachometer with LCD multi-info panel. The display features the usual standard gauges and readouts along with a gear indictor and ride mode display. It comes with two power modes: low and full.

Other impressive standard features are the twin LED headlight, LED taillight, split-style saddle, and immobilizer function.

It will be available in two colors: Lime Green (KRT) and Candy Plasma Blue.

Kawasaki has priced it at PhP410,000. It’s available at all Kawasaki Leisure Bike stores. This is just the SRP and the price may change in other dealers far from Manila.

That price is a lot higher than the Ninja 400 and just a hair under the Z650 and Ninja 650. Nonetheless, we’re still quite happy that Kawasaki has decided to offer it in the Philippines.

Now that it’s available locally, would you buy the 4-cylinder 250cc screamer over a parallel twin 400cc? Let us know in the comments.
