Vespa is celebrating the 50th birthday of the quintessentially Italian and fashionable Primavera scooter, originally launched in 1968, by offering two “Special Series” for the happy occasion. These are the Yacht Club and Notte, unveiled at the annual Amerivespa event in Virginia, earlier this month.
Since the new themes are so nifty, Vespa has decided to also offer the same special series schemes for the 125cc and 300cc GTS. The scooters come with 12-inch wheels, while the GTS receives more equipment including a digital tool cluster and Vespa’s i-get Start & Stop system.
The Yacht Club is a nautical-themed scooter that combines navy blue accents on an eggshell white canvas, to evoke the finesse of sailing. It is available for both the Vespa Primavera and GTS.
Meanwhile, the Notte appeals to the darker side of Vespa fans with a murdered out look and matte black paint. Vespa decided to wrap this stealthy scheme around the sportier Sprint, along with the GTS Super.
Both the Primavera and Sprint share a fuel capacity of 8 L, while the 50cc versions make 3.3 PS at 7,500 rpm, and the 125cc makes 10.7 PS. The 125cc GTS features a fuel capacity of 7 L with an output rated at 12.2 PS at 8,750 rpm. The 300cc GTS gets a larger 8.5 L tank and more power at 21.2 PS at 7,750 rpm. The GTS Super carries over the same power specs as the GTS.
Vespa plans to make the Yacht Club and Notte special series editions available to the Philippine market in the third quarter of this year. Contact your local Vespa dealer today, for more information.
