Suzuki launches 2020 Gixxer 150

Suzuki Philippines updates one of its most versatile backbone models, the Gixxer 150. Those with keen eyes will note that it looks very similar to the Gixxer 250 unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show last year.

The new Gixxer 150 features a whole new look to appeal to those looking for a more stylish daily ride. Chief among them is a new LED headlight with a matching LED tail light behind. Just above it is a fully-digital instrument panel. Much of the body features brand new panels and a rear tire hugger for a more aggressive look. This is matched with a split seat for rider and pillion to offer a low 795mm seat height. It’s finished off with a dual exhaust muffler.

The Gixxer 150 powered by a 155cc SOHC, fuel-injected, single-cylinder engine. It comes with Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) for better efficiency. This allows it to produce 14.1 PS at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm at 6,000 rpm. It’s paired with an electric starter and 5-speed transmission. With a 12-liter fuel tank, that should amount to a lot of miles between fill ups.

Keeping it aloft are larger telescopic forks in front and a monoshock swingarm in the rear. It rides on 17-inch wheels and is brought to a stop with disc brakes in front and behind. The Gixxer 150 boasts of a ground clearance of 160 mm. Finally, it tips the scales at 141 kg.

Suzuki is offering the Gixxer 150 in black, blue, and silver. It’s on sale at price of PhP93,900.
