It was exactly 5 years ago, also at EICMA, when Royal Enfield took the covers off of their newly-developed 650cc twins – the Interceptor and Continental GT.

During this year’s EICMA in Milan, Italy, Royal Enfield has again took the covers off of their newest 650cc motorcycle – the Super Meteor.

Like the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650, the new Super Meteor 650 is powered by the same 648cc SOHC parallel twin that is air and oil-cooled, fuel-injected, and mated to a 6-speed transmission. The rated power is 47 PS at 7,100 rpm and 52 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm.

Also, like the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650, the Super Meteor 650’s frame is also designed by Harris Performance UK.
