REAPers looking to upshift their game

Yesterday, the Royal Enfield Association of the Philippines (REAPers), held their first-ever general assembly at the Ayala Greenfield Golf and Leisure Club in Calamba, Laguna.

Titled “Upshift 2019”, it aims to introduce the riders to one another to foster camaraderie and stronger ties. Like in motorcycles, the group is "upshifting," to take it into higher gear. The gathering also discussed group matters and upcoming rides and events. Hosted by Ayala Land Premier, the breakfast ride general assembly was attended by over 80 Royal Enfield motorcycle riders, donning their distinct “RE look” with their reaper badges.

“I always refer to this group as La Familia,” said Royal Enfield Pilipinas CEO, Jimmy Barinaga. He likens the group's closeness to a closely knit Filipino family. Founded in 2012, the REAPers already have hundreds of members and chapters in the Visayas and Mindanao regions.

Our good friend and adventure rider, Cheggy Medina, hosted the event, which saw prizes from sponsors like Bikerbox, Motul, Cashback World, OZ Racing, Cafe Racer Philippines, Nai's Lutong Bahay Bagoong, and Vintage Rider Manila raffled off. Black Mamba energy drink and Bravo food supplement for men also gave away freebies to the delegates.
