V100 Mandello launching at EICMA

This 2021, Moto Guzzi celebrates 100 years of manufacturing motorcycles. With the company based in Mandello Del Lario, Italy, there could be no more appropriate name for a model released this year, the V100 Mandello.

The full specs of this new sporty naked tourer will be revealed at the upcoming EICMA 2021 in November. Nonethelss, Moto Guzzi’s social media accounts have already taken off the wraps of the upcoming model for a sneak peek.

1000cc engine

If its other models' names like the V7 and V85 are anything to go by, the V100 badge can very well indicate it has a transverse, liquid-cooled V-twin with a displacement somewhere in the 1000-1100cc range. Expect power output to be between 112 to 122 Ps.

It is also worth noting that the above teaser highlights the V100’s single-sided swingarm, similar to BMW’s R 1250 GS.

Active aerodynamics

Also seen in the video are the active windshield and wind flaps of the V100 Mandello. The windshield actively adjusts depending on the speed of the V100 to improve the bike’s aerodynamics. Two side flaps, which are located on both sides of the V100, will open to improve the incoming airflow, possibly to better manage the engine’s temperature.

Other features

The video also showed its full-TFT panel gauge, possibly with Bluetooth connectivity to allow the rider to manage calls, music, and even GPS navigation through the bike’s handlebar controls.

Brakes are from Brembo, while it was said that a higher-spec version will sport top-spec Öhlins semi-active suspension and roll on Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires. Lighting will be all-LED.
