Manila closes streets for the ’23 Feast of the Black Nazarene

The Feast of the Black Nazarene will commence this year but still without the traditional Traslaćion due to the pandemic. However, it will be replaced with the “Walk of Faith” and the City of Manila will be closing streets for the ceremonies.

According to the Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau, the following thoroughfares will be closed to traffic starting January 6, 2023, from 10:00 PM onwards:

Katigbak Drive, Independence Road, South Drive, northbound and southbound lanes (near Quirino Grandstand) of Roxas Boulevard, northbound and southbound lanes of Quezon Boulevard from A. Mendoza to Quezon Bridge straight to Park ‘n Ride; both lanes of España Boulevard from P. Campa to A. Mendoza, Evangelista St., Raon St., Padre Paterno St., Carriedo St., Carlos Palanca St., Bustos St., Rizal Avenue from Carriedo to C.M. Recto Avenue; MacArthur Bridge, Claro M. Recto Avenue from Rizal Avenue to Nicanor Reyes St. (FEU), and Nicanor Reyes St.

The actual Walk of Faith will happen on January 8, 2023, from Quirino Grandstand going to Quiapo Church.
