The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has opened today their newest licensing office south of Manila.
The LTO PITX-Parañaque Licensing Center, which is located on the 2nd floor of the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX), features state-of-the-art facilities that can serve approximately 150 clients who want to renew their existing driver’s licenses, as well as new driver’s license applicants. A practical driving test course is also present at the parking area of PITX.
The opening ceremony was graced by Transportation Secretary, Arthur Tugade, as well as LTO Chief Assistant Secretary, Edgar Galvante. They were also joined by DOTr Undersecretary for Road Transport and Infrastructure, Mark Steven Pastor, DOTr Undersecretary for Finance, Giovanni Lopez, LTO NCR West Regional Director, Atty. Chuck Guinto, and members of the Parañaque LGU led by Mayor, Edwin Olivarez.
In his speech, Sec. Tugade emphasized that the opening of the new LTO PITX-Parañaque Licensing Center is aimed at bringing the government closer to the people, giving them fast and convenient government services, especially to the patrons of the PITX, as well as OFWs and residents of Parañaque, Las Piñas, and Cavite.
Services offered by LTO PITX-Parañaque Licensing Center
The LTO PITX-Parañaque Licensing Center can is ready to serve clients for:
- Student Permit applications
- New driver’s licenses
- Renewal of driver’s licenses
- Assistance to Land Transportation Management System (LTMS) Portal
- Additional restriction codes
- Change of driver’s license classification (Non-Professional to Professional or vice versa)
Also, for the first time, Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) will have a priority lane at the LTO PITX-Parañaque Licensing Center. PITX passengers, on the other hand, who are leaving within the next 30 minutes or more, can also do a detour at the office to have their licenses renewed.
Additionally, according to the LTO, the new office is set to also cater vehicle registration renewals in the near future.
