Husqvarna hyping up 901 Norden

It was 2 years ago when the world first saw a glimpse of what would be Husvarna’s first adventure bike. Though it was rumored that the 901 Norden concept was made out of curiosity (to gauge how the public will react), the 901 Norden was ultimately given a green light for production.

The global pandemic, however, slowed things down, and we never heard anything about the project until recently.

Husqvarna’s official Youtube channel, has so far published 3 episodes of a mini-series that chronicles the company’s journey into the development of the 901 Norden.

Though the 3 videos (more coming) have so far only given a glimpse of the Norden, they also showed that the production version may not be too far from what we saw in the 2019 concept.

While the other details have yet to be revealed, being a KTM 890 Adventure-based motorcycle means it will likely get the same 889cc parallel-twin engine and possibly some elements of the 890 Adventure’s frame – pretty much like what the Vitpilen 401 is to the Duke 390.

What’s obvious is that the upcoming 901 Norden will keep the KTM’s inverted U-shaped fuel tank to keep the weight down low, improving its weight distribution. The 901 Norden will also sport off-road-oriented 21/18-inch front and rear wire wheels.

These videos are obviously slowly building up customer interest, with the final episode slated for the Norden’s ultimate unveiling which is likely to be real soon.
