Honda PH unveils production bike CRF250RX to Pinoy off-roaders

Finally, Honda Philippines has heard its fans who are die-hard off-road enthusiasts. For the longest time, lots of questions were asked as to “when will Honda bring their production off-road bikes here in the Philippines?”

Just recently, Honda Philippines announced that the 2022 CRF250RX is now available in the country with an SRP of PHP 469,000. The CRF250RX is an off-road-only motorcycle and is NOT legal for street use.

Production bike

In a broad sense, when someone says “production bike”, it is a purpose-built motorcycle that is usually for off-road use only, such as motocross (MX) and enduro bikes. At the heart of the new CRF250RX is a 249cc, liquid-cooled EFI thumper with double overhead cams (titanium valves) mated to a 5-speed, wide-ratio transmission.

Perhaps one of the features that make the new CRF250RX stand out is the addition of 3 engine mapping modes: Smooth, Standard, and Aggressive. Like any of Honda’s flagship motorcycles, these selectable engine mapping modes allow the rider to tailor-fit the CRF250RX’s output depending on the terrain or riding conditions.

Additionally, according to Honda, the CRF250RX is also equipped with a Gear Position Engine Mapping, which means each of the 5 gears has its own unique throttle and engine response on top of the 3 engine mapping that was discussed above, ensuring optimal power delivery at each gear shift.
