You might not recognize it, but these could be the Harley-Davidsons of the future. Revealed at X Games Aspen 2019 are two of the Milwaukee brand’s latest creations, lightweight electric concept bikes.
Following in the footsteps of the fully-electric Livewire, these two concepts look towards a new electrified future for Harley-Davidson.
These concepts explore how Harley-Davidson can provide solutions to urban mobility in a sustainable way, based on their expertise in developing expressive two-wheeled vehicles. One is clearly designed for off-road use with its knobby tires, high clearance and rugged suspension. The other is designed for more urban environments with its low and sleek style and hard tail.
Unlike the Livewire, these two e-bikes do not require a motorcycle license to operate, with just twist and go operation. They were designed with agility and maneuverability in mind, with lightweight construction, electric powertrains, instant acceleration and a thrilling ride.
They feature removable batteries that can be carried with a single hand back to the home or office to recharge in a dock connected to any standard household power outlet.
These two concepts are part of the More Roads to Harley-Davidson accelerated plan for growth which hopes to deliver new products in additional segments to appeal to new riders, and allow greater access into the world of Harley-Davidson.
