Dingalan town partially open to tourists

The town of Dingalan, in Aurora, sometimes called the Batanes of the East, has finally opened its doors to tourists. But, here’s the catch: it's only open to tourists who live in Region 3.

Town mayor, Shierwin Taay, has announced on his official social media page that the town will gradually open to tourists who want to experience Dingalan’s beauty. However, the town will only accept tourists coming from the provinces of Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Zambales, Bataan, and Aurora.

To visit, Mayor Taay urges tourists to first coordinate with the town’s tourism office prior to the visit, as well as to follow Dingalan’s health and safety protocols such as wearing face masks and face shields.

Dingalan is has been nicknamed the “Batanes of the East” for its picturesque slopes along its shoreline, which often resemble the landscapes of Batanes. The road going there is also a favorite route of motorcycle riders due to its nice curves and generally low volume of vehicles.

Those seeking more of a challenge will also be delighted as the province is home to some of the country's most challenging off-road trails.
