Last week, we shared news that the BMW F 900 R will soon be arriving on our shores. The new model was slated to be launched on March 29, 2020 for a select crowd of clients. Over the weekend, we received news from BMW Motorrad Philippines that the event will be postponed in lieu of the current COVID-19 crisis. The company wishes for all staff, clients and guests to stay at home and follow the government’s prescribed community quarantine measures. We will update you on the event’s new schedule as soon as we received it.
The F 900 R is one of BMW Motorrad Philippines’ most awaited models, hopes to further broaden the company’s market share in the local big bike segment with a starting price of PhP 655,000.
The new F 900 R will arrive in two variants: Standard at P655,000; and Style Sport at PhP775,000 which will include Gear Shift Assist Pro, and Riding Modes Pro.
The more competitive pricing is seen as move to bring the fight to Japanese big bike manufacturers, particularly the Yamaha MT-09, a three-cylinder naked bike which has been dominating the class globally.
