CFMoto launches 700CL-X Scrambler

CFMoto Philippines expands its big bike lineup with the arrival of the much-awaited 700CL-X. The 700CL-X is the brand’s first scrambler style motorcycle, boasting of a unique look and the versatility that comes with the Scrambler body style.

The 700CL-X is distinguished by its retro-style round headlight with X-shaped cowl. This LED headlight has a self-adaptive assist system, which can be automatically turned on or off according to the ambient brightness. Turn signals automatically turn off (self-canceling) as the direction is adjusted.

It features an aluminum fuel tank with the steel frame wrapped around it. It’s topped off with a brown leather-feel seat and short tail. The bike tips the scales at just 196 kg and has a very accessible seat height of 800mm.

Powering it is an all-new liquid-cooled 693cc parallel twin engine. It produces 74.78 Ps (55kW) at 8,500 rpm and 86 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. This power comes about as a result of a its high efficiency intake airflow, Bosch EFI and electronic throttle technology, integrated with high-precision sensors for complete fuel combustion, low fuel consumption and friendly emissions.

It’s fitted with a CF-SC slipper clutch as standard for smooth, effortless clutch control and reduced rear-wheel chatter when downshifting.

Keeping it aloft is a KYB upside down front fork with 150mm of travel. It’s paired with a KYB link-mounted rear shock. Both are adjustable with single-side adjustment on the front (preload and compression on the left, and preload and rebound on the right) plus preload and rebound adjustability in the rear shock. Contacting the ground are multi-spoke alloy wheels with Pirelli tires.

The rider can see all the vital trip info on its round 75mm LCD dashboard. It features a speedometer, rev counter, fuel gauge, odometer and trip meter, plus riding modes display.

Thanks to its electronic throttle, the rider has two on-the-fly riding modes to choose from: economic and sport. It also has fixed-speed cruise control for more relaxed riding in the highway.

The features don’t end there as the 700CL-X comes with a long list of safety features. It’s brought to a stop with J.JUAN brakes governed by a Continental ABS system. It also comes with a rollover sensor that instantly turns off the engine in the event of an accident. It also comes with and limp mode if it detects a problem with the engine to prevent further damage. Finally, there’s ignition protection which prevents the bike from being started when in gear or with the side stand down.

The CFMoto 700CL-X is now available in Heritage trim at PhP369,800. Available colors are Coal Grey and Twilight Blue. Besides these, customers can also add their own touch with changeable modular bodywork.

Customers may begin making their reservations on November 23, 2020. Deliveries are expected to begin by December 2020.
