Royal Enfield Pilipinas has announced the launch of Scram 411 – the brand’s first Urban Scrambler.
The new Scram 411, which is based on the Himalayan, has created a "new sub-category of motorcycles that is agile, multi-purpose and capable street scrambler," according to Royal Enfield.
The Scram 411 is also powered by the same, 411cc, fuel-injected, 4-stroke, SOHC, air-cooled single-cylinder engine as the Himalayan. It produces a maximum power of 26 PS at 6,500 rpm and max torque of 32 Nm at 4,500 rpm which ensures smooth power delivery and strong bottom-end torque, which is also similar to the Himalayan.
Speaking about the launch of Scram 411 and how fun it is to ride, Anuj Dua, Business Head for Asia Pacific markets, said, “[The] Scram 411 can navigate a wide spectrum of terrains and challenges. Most scrambler motorcycles focus only on aesthetics and looks. When we began work on the Scram 411, we were determined to create a motorcycle that would be distinct in design and purpose, and bring the best of rough road capability to urban riding. In the Asia Pacific region, the Adventure riding segment is one of the fastest growing segments and we truly believe that our motorcycle will be a great multi-purpose companion on the road. The new Scram 411 also features a 41 mm telescopic fork with 190 mm travel, along with a rear monoshock with 180 mm travel and provides stable and confident riding on both pavement and off-road. A dual-channel ABS is also a standard feature of the Scram 411.
The Scram 411 will be available in Graphite Yellow, Graphite Red, and Graphite Blue, and come with grey tanks and distinct tank badges with matching tire rim tapes. The Skyline Blue and Blazing Black have distinct color tanks with identifiable Royal Enfield stripes and matching mudguards. The top-end variant, in two colorways – White Flame and Silver Spirit – flaunts dual tank colors with unique and fun graphics.
The Scram 411 also comes adventure-ready with an array of motorcycle accessories that complement the lifestyle and purpose. Designed, developed, and homologated alongside the motorcycle, the range includes accessories for protection, style, and comfort. The Scram 411 and its variants are now available at the nearest Royal Enfield dealership, with the SRP starting at PHP 311,000.
