The Manila Police District, through its Traffic Enforcement Unit, will be implementing traffic rerouting and road closures starting Friday, January 24 2020, mostly in the Binondo area to give way for the Lunar New Year celebrations.
Starting 5:00 PM on Friday, the following roads will be closed to give way to a concert at Plaza San Lorenzo Ruiz: along Quintin Paredes from Dasmarinas to Plaza San Lorenzo Ruiz; on Reina Regente from Soler to Plaza San Lorenzo Ruiz; Plaza San Lorenzo Ruiz U-turn slot; Juan Luna to Reina Regente to San Fernando; along San Fernando from Elcano to Plaza San Lorenzo Ruiz and the north-bound lane of Jones Bridge from Padre Burgos to Escolta.
From 10:30 PM, the whole Jones Bridge will be closed to all traffic to give way for the fireworks display.
Rerouting of vehicles coming from Juan Luna going to Jones Bridge should take Muelle dela Industria and go straight to McArthur Bridge. Vehicles coming from Soler going to Plaza San Lorenzo Ruiz should turn tight to Reina Regente and turn right again to Claro M. Recto to point of destination. For vehicles coming from Abad Santos going to Plaza San Lorenzo Ruiz, turn left or right upon reaching Claro M. Recto to point of destination. For vehicles coming from Dasmarinas, turn left at Prenza then right to Muelle dela Industria to point of destination. For vehicles coming from San Fernando going to Plaza San Lorenzo Ruiz, turn right at Elcano, then left at Urbitztondo, then right to Barraca, left to Dasmarinas then right to Juan Luna and finally turn left to Muelle dela Industria to point of destination.
All vehicles coming from Padre Burgos going to Binondo area via Jones Bridge should take McArthur Bridge instead.
