Plates ending in 2 have up to March 8 to register

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has announced that they will be giving an extension to vehicle registrations which are due on February, 2021. Vehicles due to be registered this month still have until March 8 to register without any late fees or fines.

Those with plate numbers/ MV File/ conduction stickers ending in 2, will be given the following extensions:

If the second to the last digit is 1, 2 or 3, they have until February 15, extended from the previous February 7; if it is 4, 5 or 6, they’ll be given until February 22, extended from the previous February 14; if it is 7 or 8, they’ll be given until February 28, extended from the previous February 21; and finally, if it is 9 or 0, they have until March 8, extended from the previous February 28, 2021.

Bear in mind that with the Motor Vehicle Inspection System (MVIS) in implemented in some areas, the emission testing phase of the said article now involves going through a Private Motor Vehicle Inspection Center (PMVIC). Please check your local LTO to find out what test is required.
