The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has recently issued a new memo temporarily suspending the production of license plates.
In a memo dated March 13, 2023, it says that “In view of the depleting stock of license plates pending the procurement of which by the Department of Transportation as of this date, all production license plates except for vintage/electric/hybrid vehicles is hereby suspended until further notice.”
Meanwhile, another memo has also been issued by the agency, reiterating the Memorandum dated January 11 2017 allowing for the use of a conduction sticker or MV File number as a temporary license plate.
