Presidential spokesperson, Harry Roque, said in a briefing today, May 13, 2020, that certain outdoor activities will be allowed in areas under the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) starting May 16.

Roque stressed, however, that safety protocols should be observed at all times, like wearing of facemasks and maintaining a distance of at least two meters. Areas that will be placed under MECQ are NCR, Laguna, and Cebu City.

In other areas that will be placed under General Community Quarantine (GCQ), Roque said that limited-contact sports such as tennis and golf will be allowed. That being said, where outdoor activities and limited contact sports being allowed, many motorcycle riders raised the question: Are motorsports like motocross (MX), circuit racing, or even enduro riding be allowed as well?
