Adventure tourer at less than 400K

Honda Philippines just unveiled the 2022 CB500X, with an SRP of PHP 380,000. It serves to entice riders into the adventure riding serving as an accessible starter.

The 2022 CB500X is still packed with the same potent, 2-cylinder, 471cc liquid-cooled DOHC powerplant from before. It churns out around 49 Ps and 43 Nm of torque, making it an ideal all-around adventure-tourer.

New for 2022 is the upgraded front suspension. From the traditional telescopic, it's now a 41 mm Showa inverted fork, improving the bike’s handling on both on-road and light off-road. Behind, it's fitted with a Prolink mono shock with a 5-stage pre-load adjuster, steel hollow cross swing arm rear suspension.

With the power it generates, the CB500X needs a braking system that can stop the bike precisely and safely. That is why Honda has added an additional Nissin brake rotor and caliper on the front to improve the bike’s braking.

The 2022 CB500X also boasts of an almost 18-liter fuel tank, with a claimed mileage of almost 28 kilometers per liter, which means theoretically, its rider can go as far as 504 kilometers before needing to fill up the gas tank again.

The CB500X is also “newbie friendly”, largely thanks to its Pinoy-sized seat height of only 834 mm and it only tips the scales at 199 kilograms.

The 2022 MY CB500X will be available in two liveries Grand Prix Red and Matte Gunpowder Metallic.
