Upcoming Mountaincross to determine Pinoy rep to Rimba Raid

The Rimba Raid Motorcycle Race has captured the hearts of adventure enthusiasts around the world. With its unique blend of off-road challenges and breathtaking natural landscapes, this thrilling race has become a must-attend event for adrenaline junkies and off-road motorcyclists.

Next month, FJ MOTO – through the Mountaincross Rimba Raid Philippine Qualifiers – will determine who will be the first Pinoy rider and have what it takes to represent the country on this year’s Rimba Raid that will be held in Malaysia between August 31 to September 3.

Just a brief background, the Rimba Raid motorcycle race was established in 2015 as an answer to the growing demand for off-road racing events that celebrated the beauty of nature. The race takes place in dense jungles, picturesque mountains, and rugged terrains, adding a touch of adventure to the motorsport world.

This event was put together by 4 passionate motorcycle enthusiasts into its biggest-ever event concluded recently in National Park Kuala Tahan back in September 2022 with participation from 14 countries.

Here in the country, the qualifiers will be held between July 23 to 24, in the dense jungles of General Nakar, Quezon. To participate, riders must register at the FJ MOTO official social media page. Additionally, only motorcycles with a minimum displacement of 500cc and twin-cylinder engine configuration are qualified to join.

While the route has not been made public as of this writing, the said route is very challenging, let alone riding it onboard big adventure bikes like what these guys did in this story.
