Malacañang announced on Saturday that the Enhanced Community Quarantine across Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal (NCR+), will be extended for another week from Monday, April 5, to Sunday, April 11, 2021. The IATF recommended the extension of the quarantine after the Department of Health recorded an all-time high of new COVID-19 cases last week.
“The IATF recommended the extension of ECQ for a minimum of one week in Metro Manila, and provinces of Laguna, Bulacan, Cavite and Rizal,” said Presidential spokesperson, Harry Roque, through a virtual meeting last weekend.
LTO remains closed
With the lockdown staying in place, some government offices, including the Land Transportation Office (LTO), have announced that their operations will be temporarily suspended at least until after the ECQ is lifted.
The LTO National Capital Region West, with all of its offices in Manila, Pasay, Muntinlupa, Makati, Malabon, Navotas and Caloocan, have announced that they will be closed until the remainder of the ECQ.
This goes the same for all LTO National Capital Region East offices. LTO district offices within Bulacan, as well as many of Region 4A (CALABARZON) LTO offices, have also announced similar suspensions of office activities.
Please check with your local LTO's social media page for further announcements.
