The Manila - Cavite Expressway or more popularly known in the south of Manila as the Coastal Road, will begin raising their toll fees this coming October 24, Thursday. The Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) has approved the new rates for Phase 1 of the R-1 Enhancement Project on Segment 1 (R-1 Expressway) of the Manila-Cavite Toll Expressway Project (MCTEP).

The TRB has approved a 1-peso toll increase for Class 1 vehicles (motorcycles 400cc above included), P2 for Class 2 and P3 for Class 3 vehicles. That means from the existing P24, it will be P25 for Class 1 vehicles and big bikes from October 24 onwards for the 7-kilometer expressway.
