All-new Honda CBR650R now available in the Philippines

Fans of the Honda CBR150R will have something bigger to aspire to, as Honda Philippines officially launches the all-new CBR650R.

The 2022 Honda CBR650R makes its Philippine debut and will soon be available in Honda Flagships stores nationwide, with an SRP of PHP 530,000.

CBR650R

The CBR650R shares the same potent liquid-cooled four-cylinder 649cc DOHC engine as the CB650R. The engine has an output of 95 Ps of power at 12,000 rpm and 63 Nm of torque at 9,500 rpm.

The six-speed transmission is equipped with Assist/Slipper clutch, which allows shifts with little effort on the lever and keeps the wheel on the ground even on the most rapid downshifts.

Honda boasts that the new CBR650R is ready to rip the racetrack, thanks to its 41mm SFF-BP inverted front forks from Showa for a supple ride. The braking system is handled by dual 310mm discs for the front with Nissin radial-mount 4 piston calipers and a single 240 mm disc with a single-piston caliper at the rear.

Other features of the new CBR650R include full-LED lighting, large LCD display panel, Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), and many more. Perhaps, what sets the new CBR650R apart from the other sportbikes in its class is the inclusion of the Emergency Stop Signal or ESS. What the ESS does is it automatically activates the hazard lights when it detects sudden braking or when the rider unexpectedly stops. It does so to warn the other drivers of a possibly hazardous situation in front of them.

The All-New CBR650R will be available in Grand Prix Red and in Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic.
