Dating all the way back to 1936, the Tiger name has long been associated with racing, rallies, and the birth and boom in adventure travel. The Tiger 900 lineup is based on the ‘Tiger Tramontana’ rally model developed in 2018 and tested in the grueling Pan-Africa rally.

The new lineup is now powered by a higher capacity and higher performance 900cc with more peak power and torque than the previous Tiger 800 models.

The three-cylinder 900cc engine is now fully Euro 5 compliant, delivering 95-PS peak power at 8,750rpm and 87-Nm at 7,250rpm. This is paired with a 6-speed transmission with a slip and assist clutch for added rider comfort. It’s cooled down by an all-new twin radiator set up with reduced coolant volume, designed to improve the center of gravity and weight distribution and balance.

It’s mounted on a new steel trellis frame with a bolt-on aluminum rear sub-frame and bolt-on pillion hangers. Keeping it aloft are premium Marzocchi (GT Pro) or Showa (Rally Pro) suspension components depending on the variant. Brembo Stylema brakes bring it to a stop.
