Biggest gathering of BMW motorcycles canceled for this year

BMW Motorrad has just announced that they will be canceling this year's Motorrad Days.

“In light of current events and growing measures to contain the coronavirus, not to mention our duty of care towards our guests and staff, it is with a heavy heart that the Organization Team of the BMW Motorrad Days has decided to cancel this year’s event,” said BMW Motorrad in a press statement.

The BMW Motorrad Days event represents one of the largest international customer events of the BMW Group. It regularly garners an attendance of over 40,000 visitors from all over the world, including delegates from the Philippines. It is held annually in the ski town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany.

BMW Motorrad has also added that the current circumstances no longer allow this year's event to be planned as the necessary and lead times involved are very long. This means that the BMW Motorrad Days cannot be carried out.

“Our early cancellation will moreover make planning easier for our many overseas visitors, knowing they have longer lead times for logistics and travel arrangements.”
