Honda CB500 arrives with retro styling and 501cc engine
Honda’s TMX has gotten bigger, at least in India, with the launch of the new CB500 retro roadster, with an SRP starting at INR 275,000, or roughly PHP 180,000.
The CB500 was first unveiled in India in July 2026 before going on sale on September 21.
The base CB500 Alloy gets cast alloy wheels and costs INR 275,000. The CB500 Spoke is priced at INR 299,900, or roughly PHP 196,000, and comes with cross-spoke tubeless wheels. At the top of the range is the Spoke with Stripes at INR 301,900, or about PHP 197,300, with additional graphics.
Honda gives the CB500 a familiar retro roadster look, with a round LED headlight, teardrop-shaped fuel tank and single-piece seat. It sits above the CB350 range in India and uses a 501cc single-cylinder engine instead of the parallel-twin engine used by Honda’s other CB500 models sold in international markets.
Its air and oil-cooled EFI engine produces 27 PS and 43.3 Nm of torque, and is paired with a five-speed gearbox and slipper clutch. Honda Selectable Torque Control is also included, along with an analog-digital instrument cluster, Honda RoadSync connectivity, all-LED lighting and dual-channel ABS.
This big bro of the TMX 125 measures 2,170 mm long, with a 1,430 mm wheelbase, 780 mm seat height and 13-liter fuel tank. It tips the scales at 184 kg and rides on 19-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels.
Honda offers the CB500 in five color combinations across the three variants, including Pearl Igneous Black, Pearl Deep Ground Gray, Rebel Red Metallic 2 and Mat Steel Silver Metallic. The top-spec version gets a striped finish.
