Loud mufflers are no longer welcome in the City of Manila. The Mayor has just signed the "anti-muffler ordinance" which will apprehend vehicles with loud exhaust systems.
Author of the Anti-muffler ordinance, Coun. JVT Villanueva, says decibel meter will be used by apprehending officers. If not, they cannot catch offenders.
Contradictory name aside, the City of Manila wants to ban loud or open exhausts within city limits.
