History of Blue Core

The Blue Core engine was first developed for the benefit of customers that ride their motorcycles in the city daily. In 2014, Yamaha introduced the first generation of Blue Core engines with: enhanced combustion efficiency of fuel mixture; reducing power consumption; and controlled the fuel source. This goals guided the creation of new generation engines with the perfect balance between fuel efficiency, engine power, environmental friendliness as well as high applicability and adaptability into many vehicles. The innovation allowed the engine to save 50% more fuel than the old generation engine, return smooth and durable operation, boast of a compact design, and remain easy to use.

After 5 years of development, the current Blue Core engine is now one of the leading technologies applied on Yamaha's new generation scooters. The new Blue Core engines now feature reduced weight; a smart motor generator for smooth starting; quieter, stronger acceleration; and optimum fuel efficiency.
