Yamaha Indonesia is set to launch the XSR 155 this coming November. Yes, you read it right! This coming November. Owing to the success of retro-styled motorcycles in terms of sales in Europe, Yamaha Indonesia plans to release a smaller version of the iconic XSR, with design cues directly derived from the 700 and 900 XSR currently available.

The XSR 155 obviously has its eyes set on the Honda CB150 and will be powered by the same 155cc engine as the R15 V3 that churns out 19.3 Ps of power and 14.7 Nm of torque. The upcoming XSR 155 is also said to have the same 6-speed transmission as the R15 V3 with a slipper clutch. An upside-down front fork will also be among the XSR 155's more pronounced features, complemented by a mono-shock absorber for the rear.

A deltabox frame, as opposed to a trellis like its bigger brothers, will be used to keep prices competitive. To keep that 'retro' look, the headlights, taillights, and signal lights will be retro-inspired. This also includes the instrument panel, which will be similar to its bigger siblings the XSR 700 and 900.

Will Yamaha PH release this here in the country? We sure hope so.
