Yamaha reveals T7 Raid adventure bike prototype

The Tenere 700 Raid is Yamaha’s latest prototype packed with GYTR goodies

The Yamaha Tenere 700 (T7) is hailed by many enthusiasts to be the most off-road capable among big bore adventure bikes available in the market today.

The serious off-road abilities of the Tenere 700 have enabled many thousands of riders to satisfy their spirit of adventure by getting involved in long-distance road trips, as well as rallies and extreme adventure rides.

Many owners have invested efforts in personalizing their Tenere 700, and their shared stories have inspired a new generation of explorers to push their limits and discover what is beyond the next horizon.

This growing movement has inspired Yamaha to study how to take the Tenere 700 to the next level, and to re-visit the legendary African desert escapes where the original Tenere was born over 40 years ago.

Yamaha is proud to start writing a new chapter in the Tenere story with the unveiling of the Tenere 700 Raid Prototype, which has been built with extensive usage of GYTR (Genuine Yamaha Technology Racing) performance parts.

To take the T7 to the next level, Yamaha has extensively used GYTR components for the T7 Raid prototype. These include GYTR ECU, oversized radiator for maximum engine cooling, Rekluse heavy-duty clutch, engine parts covers, Full titanium Akrapovic race exhaust, new 48mm KYB forks, CNC triple clamps, and many more rally racing-spec upgrades.

This high-specification Raid bike has been developed in Europe by Yamaha leveraging the experience of off-road riders Alessandro Botturi and Pol Tarres, with the aim of exploiting the full Raid potential of the T7, extensively validated by the two Yamaha ambassadors in the Moroccan desert.
