New teaser drops from Yamaha

10 days ago, we reported about Yamaha’s newest teaser on Youtube. Though the teaser didn’t exactly show any motorcycle in any shot, it hints of an upcoming sport bike developed on the racetrack but still fun to ride on the streets.

Last week, our friends from Iwata, Japan, have teased us again with a new video, this time, showing the front-right facia of the upcoming bike. Is it the R7? Motoring journalists around the world think so. 

The launch is set for May 18, 2021 15:00 CEST. In Philippine time, that translates to May 18, 2021, 9:00 PM. Tune into Yamaha Motor Europe's YouTube channel for the announcement.

A recent trademark filing also suggests Yamaha is planning a whole range of R models, including ones we've never heard of before like the R20, R25, R5, R7, R8, and R9.

The R7, is rumored to be built around the current MT-07 platform with some tweaks to make it a capable bike against the new Aprilia RS 660.

To find out more, the final reveal of the new “R” model from Yamaha will happen tomorrow, May 18, 2021, at 9 PM Manila time.
