Yamaha making face masks for medical frontliners

Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. in Japan is making face shields in order to assist in the battle against the global COVID-19 pandemic.

To show its support, Yamaha will use its production technology and resources to manufacture face shields and sterilizing detergent (aqueous hypochlorous acid).

Yamaha plans to manufacture 1,000 sets of face shields and 500 liters or sterilizing detergent a day.

As the first step, it will supply face shields to local medical institutions in Japan via the Iwata City Medical Association, which will begin around mid-May.

Yamaha Motor would like to express its deepest sympathies to all of those who have lost loved ones as a result of the global COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) pandemic. It would like to show its support for those currently battling with the virus, and hope that all patients recover as soon as possible.
