Ice Fluo for the MT, Garage Metal for the XSR

Yamaha is updating the 2019 MT “Hyper Naked” and XSR “Sport Heritage” roadsters with striking new colors. The popular platform-sharing motorcycles are getting fresh paint jobs and graphics for next year’s customers to show the world “the dark side of Japan” and a bit of Yamaha’s ‘70s racing history.

For 2019, the new Ice Fluo color scheme will be available across the entire MT range which includes the MT-10, MT-09, MT-07, the newer MT-03 or MT-25, and the baby MT-125. To promote the urban MT series, Yamaha released a cyberpunk-inspired video for its “Hack the Darkness” campaign.

The 2019 Yamaha MT-10 is Yamaha’s liter-large streetfighter powered by a 998cc four-banger and will be available in Ice Fluo and Matt Raven Black by next month in October 2018. The 847cc, three-cylinder 2019 Yamaha MT-09 will follow in November with the same color choices and an additional Team Yamaha Blue scheme.

By December, the 2019 Yamaha MT-07 and its 689cc parallel twin will also be available in Ice Fluo, Matt Raven Black, and a Breaker Cyan option. The beginner-friendly 2019 MT-03 and the 2019 MT-25 (powered by 320cc and 249cc parallel twins, respectively) will also come in Ice Fluo, but Yamaha will continue offering the Yamaha Blue and Midnight Black colors from 2018. The 124.7cc 2019 MT-125 thumper is getting the Ice Fluo treatment too, of course.
