Even before scooters became the dominant segment, the SYM Jet had already been roaming our streets. At its peak, it was as ubiquitious as the Yamaha Mio is today.
Now, SYM hopes to recapture that market with the introduction of the newest flagship model of their Jet series – the Jet X.
Perhaps, the first thing that motorcycle enthusiast will notice about the new Jet X is its striking bodywork design. According to SYM, they have incorporated the design characteristics of a racing bike into the Jet X’s design which give the scooter a “race bike feel.”
The new Jet X features a new 125cc four-stroke, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine with four valves.
The Jet X also boats of all-LED lighting, a keyless ignition system, a color LCD instrument panel, preload adjustable rear suspension, and disc brakes for both the front and rear with ABS. It also has one of the biggest fuel tanks in class with a 7.5-liter capacity.
Its front shield comes with a sealed compartment with a USB charging port.
PH availability
Unfortunately, there is no word yet from SYM Philippines if they will be bringing in the new Jet X here in the country. However, being such a popular model in the past, we hope they consider it.
