Vespa is perhaps one of the most iconic brands in the 20th century and has become one of Italy’s symbols for fashion and scooterista lifestyle. Aprilia – another iconic motorcycle brand from Italy – has been one of the most dominant brands in motorcycle racing, bagging 4 manufacturer's titles in the Superbike World Championship (SBK).
Both brands are owned by Piaggio.
Triumph, on the other hand, is another iconic European motorcycle brand that traces its roots back to 1885 when German immigrant, Siegfried Bettmann, started his shop selling bicycles and sewing machines. The shop then evolved into a manufacturing business and produced its first motorcycle in 1902.
Wheeltek opens showrooms for 3 Euro brands
Last Friday, November 18, 2022, Wheeltek inaugurated the showrooms for these three iconic European motorcycle brands in its hometown, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.
According to Wheeltek, the opening was a realization of a vision they had 10 years ago when the company sought to bring Vespa and Aprilia motorcycles into their showrooms. In 2020, when the Autohub Group acquired the Philippine distribution rights to these Piaggio brands, Wheeltek knew they had the right partner and added these European brands to their growing portfolio.
The event was graced by Wheeltek Group of Companies executives, Raymond Odulio, VP for Finance; Reynaldo Odulio, Jr., VP for Operations; and Roscoe Odulio, VP for Sales & Marketing. Also present were Autohub Group executives Willy Tee Ten, CEO; Ms. Owee Cruz, VP for Marketing; Sammy Montecastro, GM of Triumph Motorcycle Philippines and Bimbo Fontanilla, GM of Vespa Philippines.
These newest Euro showrooms can be found inside Wheeltek’s big bikes complex along Maharlika Highway, Cabanatuan City (Waze: Wheeltek Big Bikes Complex). A wide selection of Vespa and Aprilia scooters are available in the showroom, while the complete lineup of big bikes from Hinckley, UK, can be bought from the adjacent Triumph showroom.
