2020 Vespa S 125 launched at Okada Manila

The new Vespa S was unveiled to the public after a gathering of Vespas for a short breakfast ride to Okada Manila.

There, the new model was revealed, sporting updates to both its aesthetics and functions. It features a new front tie design. and the introduction of LED lighting technology. A new instrument panel bears revamped graphics for better visibility in a variety of lighting conditions. It's composed of a combination of speedometer and LCD digital screen.

Perhaps those that stand to benefit the most are riders of modest height. Vespa has reshaped its ergonomics to make it more accesssible. The saddle now has a flatter and narrower tip, while still retaining its comfortable ride for those with modest height. Vespa has also taken pains to reshape the footrest to provide more control and comfort for both rider and passenger.

Ride-wise, the Vespa S has modified the movement of the swinging arm, now structured on roller boxes that reduce operating friction to a minimum. With a new structure design, connecting the engine and the body and a damping absorber, the new Vespa S has further reduced vibrations.

The new Vespa S is powered by a single cylinder, 4-stroke, 125cc, air-cooled i-Get engine with electronic injection and 3-valve timing, improving efficiency and fuel consumption.

It is also offered with many security and convenience features such as the the immobilizer anti-theft system fitted as standard, indicated by the light in the instrument panel, when active.

A glove box allows the rider to store small objects like rain gear, sunglasses or gloves. It is complemented by a bag hook. The helmet can fit under the seat. Easily the most useful is the USB charging port for phones, tablets and small electronic devices.

The new model is offered in five colors: Grey Titanio (matte), Yellow Sole (glossy), White Innocenza (glossy), Black Vulcano (glossy), Blue Vivace (matte).

The new Vespa S pays homage to the first Vespa in 1946, born as a simple, practical but also unique and elegant vehicle for daily commute. The Vespa S continues the brand's heritage of appealing to young generations, designed for easy urban mobility, energetic design and dynamic character.

The new Vespa S is offered at PhP 145,000.
