There’s no shortage of special edition Vespas, from the recently launched Racing Sixties, the Armani edition, to the incredibly rare 946 RED.
Vespa gives buyers another reason to look into the well-loved scooter with its new Sean Wotherspoon Primavera. Created in collaboration with American designer, Sean Wotherspoon, the new special edition is a harlequin style scooter featuring an explosion of color.
The Sean Wotherspoon edition draws influence from kaleidoscopic mix and match special editions and art cars like the Volkswagen Golf Harlequin and the Paul Smith Mini Cooper and Vespa. It makes use of a livery of 80s-style color, using yellow, red, dark green and aquamarine in patches throughout the motorcycle.
It’s embellished with white inserts on the front tie, and white rims with a Vespa pattern.
The design is completed with chrome finishes for the headlight frame, luggage rack and passenger handle, and black details such as the hand grips and silencer cover. There’s also a red foot board (in the same color as the shock absorber), with blue rubber inserts.
Topping it off is a light brown ribbed velvet saddle. It comes with the artist's tag embroidered on the seat. A dedicated graphic behind repeats the 'Primavera' name.
The Vespa Primavera Sean Wotherspoon is available from 2020 at a selected network of dealers at 150cc. In the Philippines, the Sean Wotherspoon Primavera comes with an original Vespa top box and rear luggage rack as standard. It is priced at PhP308,000. Vespa also offers a special line of helmet and apparel to match the Wotherspoon edition.
Sean Wotherspoon is best known as the proprietor of Round Two in Richmond in Virginia. The store chain is now in all major US cities and boasts of a passion for sneakers and sportswear. Wotherspoon’s revolutionary and irrepressible creative verve has led to collaborations with Nike, Disney, Prince, Lacoste and Galleries Lafayette.
