Even if you’re an Authorized Person Outside of Residence (APOR) and are traveling on a motorcycle bound for Visayas or to Mindanao, you might want to postpone your trip to Visayas or Mindanao for a few days. The Department of Transportation (DOTr) issued a travel advisory discouraging any travel by land or sea due to the inclement weather brought about by the incoming typhoon, “Bising.”
The travel advisory, which was posted by DOTr assistant secretary, Goddes Hope Libiran, effectively suspends all land and sea travel bound for Visayas and Mindanao coming from Matnog Port in Sorsogon. It has been in effect starting 12:00 noon today, April 16, 2021.
As of 11:00 AM today, typhoon Bising has maximum 10-minute sustained winds of 120 km/h; with gusts up to 175 km/h; while maximum 1-minute sustained winds are at 140 km/h. Bising is moving towards the Bicol region at approximately 10 km/h.
